The PoPo Story

Potent Potables started out as a pleasant, creative distraction during the summer of 2020. The embers of our kitchen table experimenting with evermore complex and curious ingredients was stoked by the the interest and encouragement of our friends and family. We started with a singular mission— the perfect margarita. Once achieved, we shared the simple recipe (now our Signature Margarita) with friends and urged them to shy away from mass-produced, store-bought mixes filled with artificial ingredients and seriously lacking in taste. We were met with some resistance because like most worthwhile pursuits—it’s a lot of work! We began this labor of love by delivering mixers to our friends, creating what quickly started to look like a viable business. And so, here we are!

Many of our mixers are inspired by cocktails we’ve had in our travels or by various cuisines and their use of spices and interesting ingredients. Our mixers are made from scratch, starting out as fruits, flowers, herbs, spices and botanicals as they appear in nature, and combined with housemade syrups that include recognizable, high-quality ingredients. And did we mention, THEY ARE DELICIOUS! Seeking an elevated cocktail experience on the boat, at the beach, at your favorite local BYO restaurant, poolside, fireside, lakeside—we want to help.
